Police said their Crime Prevention members received information about suspected illegal activities at the property.

The information was shared with Brits Crime Intelligence and the Hartbeespoortdam K9 unit, who conducted further investigations.

When cops arrived at the property, they found three women and a man.

A search allegedly uncovered what appeared to be a drug laboratory, including processed drugs, a drug-production mixture and equipment believed to have been used to manufacture drugs.

Police also seized four firearms, including a rifle and three handguns, as well as ammunition.

The suspects, a 39-year-old Zimbabwean man and three women aged between 23 and 29, were arrested.

They face charges of possession of unlicensed firearms and ammunition, as well as dealing in and manufacturing drugs in terms of the Drugs and Drug Trafficking Act.

They are expected to appear in the Brits Magistrate’s Court soon.

North West police commissioner Lieutenant-General Arthur Peter Adams praised the cops for their swift response and teamwork.

He warned criminals that police would continue targeting organised crime syndicates involved in the manufacture and distribution of drugs.

Police said investigations are continuing and the value of the seized drugs will still be determined.
