Vision Meat is seeking a reliable, hardworking, and hands-on Operations Assistant to join our charity organisation. This role is ideal for a motivated individual who is passionate about community service and willing to assist across multiple operational areas.
Job Description
The successful candidate will support daily operations across various departments, including administration, kitchen, store, and driving duties. The role requires flexibility, physical fitness, teamwork, and a positive attitude to help fulfil our mission of serving the community.
Key Responsibilities
- Assist with stock receiving, checking expiry dates, and ensuring delivery accuracy
- Perform heavy lifting when packing, moving, or storing stock
- Support kitchen operations by preparing food for donations and assisting when required
- Handle administrative duties including switchboard operations, processing orders, completing stock sheets, and using the Matrix programme for stock control
- Drive company vehicles and deliver goods to designated areas (valid PDP required)
Minimum Requirements
- Previous experience in administration, stock control, or operations (advantageous)
- Ability to multitask and work effectively under pressure
- Physically fit and capable of heavy lifting
- Valid driver’s licence with PDP
- Bilingual and fully literate with good communication skills
- Willingness to work overtime, weekends, and Sundays when required
- Strong teamwork skills and a positive, service-oriented attitude
- Computer literacy
