Health & Safety Officer Vacancy – Vision Meat

Vision Meat is seeking a qualified and experienced Health & Safety Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) legislation while promoting a strong safety culture across our retail and warehouse operations.

Key Responsibilities

• Develop, implement, and monitor Health and Safety policies and procedures
• Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments in retail and warehouse environments
• Ensure full compliance with OHS legislation and company standards
• Investigate incidents and recommend corrective and preventive actions
• Deliver safety training and awareness programmes to all staff
• Maintain accurate safety records, documentation, and reports
• Liaise with management, employees, contractors, and relevant authorities on safety matters
• Promote a proactive Health and Safety culture across all operations

Minimum Requirements

• Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety Management or a related field
• Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Health and Safety role (retail, logistics, or similar environment)
• Knowledge of food safety standards will be an advantage
• Strong understanding of the OHS Act and related regulations
• Excellent communication, reporting, and training skills
• Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as within a team
