A fuel tanker has caught fire on the R30 road between Bothaville in the Free State and Orkney in North West. This has since prompted an immediate response from emergency services and the complete closure of the route.
Fire services were activated shortly after the incident was reported, as the tanker was confirmed to be carrying petrol, posing a serious risk due to its highly flammable nature. Thick smoke and flames were visible from the scene, raising safety concerns for motorists and nearby areas.
