The police in Kanana near Orkney outside Klerksdorp in the North West have launched a manhunt for a suspected rapist.
The suspect attached to the identity-kit is at large and is sought by the SAPS.
The police provincial spokesperson, Adéle Myburgh in a statement said it was reported to the police that a 15-year-old victim was walking home in Extension 4, Kanana, at about 18:30 on Tuesday, 19 August 2025.
She was approached by an unknown man who overpowered and threatened her with a knife, then raped her.
Myburgh says according to information provided to them the suspect is dark in complexion, with dark eyes, medium in height and built.
The assailant is said that he was wearing a white cap and a white t-shirt and spoke Setswana. He is estimated to be about 25-years-old or older.
