A female suspect has been arrested following the alleged murder of an e-hailing driver in Pretoria West on Wednesday, 11 February 2026. Police said more arrests are imminent as investigations into the incident continue.
According to preliminary investigations, the victim was allegedly attacked and killed by a male and female who had requested the services of an e-hailing driver in Pretoria West. Authorities believe the pair hijacked the vehicle after committing the crime.
The hijacked vehicle, along with the body of the victim, was later discovered in Atteridgeville on the same day.
The arrested suspect is expected to appear before the Atteridgeville Magistrate’s Court on Monday, 16 February 2026. She will face charges including car hijacking and murder.
Police have urged anyone with information that could assist in the investigation to come forward as efforts to trace the remaining suspect intensify.
