The North Gauteng High Court Judge has ordered the controversial North West businessman man and self proclaimed spy, Brown Mogotsi, to retract statements he made about ANC Secretary-General(SG).
The judge dealt a blow against Mogotsi and ordered him to retract the defamatory statements made against Fikile Mbalula.
The judge on Tuesday, 25 November 2025 found that the allegations published on television and across social media were false and defamatory.
The ruling, delivered in a matter brought by Mbalula as the applicant, directs Mogotsi to remove and retract the statements within 48 hours from all media platforms. This includes deleting any related posts published on any social media account.
The court further declared Mogotsi’s publications unlawful and interdicted him from conducting any interviews that suggest or imply Mbalula’s involvement in the allegations previously circulated.
In addition to the retraction order, the court held Mogotsi liable for damages. The amount is to be determined through oral evidence at a later stage.
Mogotsi has also been ordered to pay Mbalula’s legal costs on an attorney-and-client scale.
