Vision Meat is currently seeking a reliable and safety-focused Yard Driver to join our Dispatch team. This is a critical operational role responsible for ensuring smooth and efficient truck movements within the dispatch yard.
Job Description
The successful candidate will be responsible for safely moving preload trucks within the premises, positioning vehicles for loading and offloading, and supporting dispatch operations. The role requires attention to detail, night shift availability, and a strong commitment to safety.
Key Responsibilities
- Safely move preload trucks within the dispatch yard
- Position vehicles at loading and offloading bays
- Assist with correct trailer and truck alignment for preloading
- Work closely with dispatch and loading teams
- Perform basic vehicle inspections and report faults immediately
- Adhere to all on-site safety procedures and traffic guidelines
- Work night shifts and as per operational schedules
Minimum Requirements
- Valid Driver’s Licence (Code 14)
- Previous experience in yard driving or truck movement (advantageous)
- Reliable, punctual, and safety-conscious
- Willing and able to work night shifts, weekends, and overtime
- Good communication and teamwork skills
- Knowledge of dispatch operations will be an added advantage
