Vision Meat is seeking a qualified and experienced Health & Safety Officer to join our team. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring compliance with Occupational Health and Safety (OHS) legislation while promoting a strong safety culture across our retail and warehouse operations.
Key Responsibilities
- Develop, implement, and monitor Health and Safety policies and procedures
- Conduct regular inspections and risk assessments in retail and warehouse environments
- Ensure full compliance with OHS legislation and company standards
- Investigate incidents and recommend corrective and preventive actions
- Deliver safety training and awareness programmes to all staff
- Maintain accurate safety records, documentation, and reports
- Liaise with management, employees, contractors, and relevant authorities on safety matters
- Promote a proactive Health and Safety culture across all operations
Minimum Requirements
- Qualification in Occupational Health and Safety Management or a related field
- Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a Health and Safety role (retail, logistics, or similar environment)
- Knowledge of food safety standards will be an advantage
- Strong understanding of the OHS Act and related regulations
- Excellent communication, reporting, and training skills
- Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to work independently as well as within a team
